Kyle Gahagan discovered his calling in bladesmithing long before he ever picked up a hammer—well before he became Sergeant Gahagan of the U.S. Army Rangers. Born in Colorado and raised in Atlanta, he fell in love with knives at a young age, thanks to his grandfather. At 20, he enlisted in the 1st Ranger Battalion and completed multiple tours in both Afghanistan and Iraq. When he came home, he poured his combat-honed focus into forging steel, earning his Journeyman rating from the American Bladesmith Society in 2015, and later appearing on Forged in Fire.
